Media Availability: Community Cleanups save citizens a trip to the landfill

The City of Calgary is pleased to invite media to attend the kick-off of Community Cleanup 2016. Each spring and fall, The City teams up with local community associations and their volunteers to help residents get rid of unwanted household items and waste from their houses and yards through Community Cleanups.

TIME: 10 a.m.

WHERE: Glendale Community Association, Community Centre at 2405 Glenmount Dr. S.W.

Note: There will be no formal program, but the spokespeople will be available for one-on-one interviews and there will be photo opportunities as citizens bring items to include in the cleanup.
