Media Advisory: media availability today at 11 a.m. - Increase in coyote sightings in city

There has been an increase in coyote sightings, resulting in some interactions between coyotes and Calgarians. It is currently denning season for coyotes, which can make them more protective and possibly aggressive if you are in the area of their dens. City of Calgary Parks Ecologist, Tanya Hope, will give an update to the media on current pathway and area closures, and provide tips for Calgarians on how they can help reduce or avoid problems with coyotes and ensure both the public and the city’s wildlife remain safe.
