Media Advisory: Investing in regional emergency preparedness

Municipal Affairs Minister Shaye Anderson will announce new emergency preparedness grants to help communities work together to respond to an emergency or disaster.

The announcement will be followed by a brief demonstration of the rescue of a person trapped in a collapsed concrete structure. Minister Anderson will participate in the demonstration, along with members of Canada Task Force 2, Alberta’s rapid deployment and all-hazards Disaster Response Team.
