Media Advisory: Home improvement open house

Media are invited to attend a home improvement open house to learn about The City of Calgary's permit and licensing process. The City receives more than 5,000 home owner inquiries and applications a year.

Homeowners can apply in person for permits such as basements, garages and get advice on:   

• Plumbing
• Electrical
• Framing
• Land Use Bylaws and processes
• Secondary suites
• Hiring a contractor
• What goes where? Renovation waste and recycling
• Energy efficiency in your renovation

Where: Genesis Centre (7555 Falconridge Blvd N.E.)

A second home improvement open house is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 13 from noon to 4 p.m. at the Shane Homes YMCA located at 11300 Rocky Ridge Rd. N.W.
