Media Advisory: Historic City Hall tour

On Wednesday, June 27, media are invited to attend a tour of Historic City Hall for a behind the scenes look at the work that’s been done to-date on this unique heritage project.

The tour will provide media with an opportunity to capture footage and learn about progress to-date on the rehabilitation, including the stone masons’ work to repair existing sandstone, the process to bring new stones in to replace deteriorated sandstone and work being done on the clock tower and roof to restore this important heritage building for the next 100 years.

Please note: Personal Protective Equipment (steel-toed boots, hard hats and protective glasses) will be required during the tours. If you have your own, please feel free to bring with you, otherwise Personal Protective Equipment will be provided to you at the start of the tour. If you require steel-toed boots, please email media.relations@calgary.ca and indicate the size(s) needed in your response. We also remind you that as this is a construction zone, tour participants are required to wear full length shirts and pants.
