Media Advisory: Gender Equity Week Proclamation

Media are invited to join Mayor Naheed Nenshi as he formally proclaims September 23rd to 29th as Gender Equality Week.

Following the formal proclamation in Council Chambers, Sheila Yeoman, granddaughter of Annie Gale, will tour a display curated in honour of Gender Equality Week and the 100th anniversary of Annie Gale being sworn in as Calgary’s first female Alderman.
