Media advisory: City expands Ticket2Play program to include firefighters and community peace officers

The City of Calgary is expanding its popular Ticket2Play program which has in the past empowered Calgary Police officers to award positive tickets to children and youth who are doing great things in the community. The program will now provide City firefighters and community peace officers with an opportunity to do the same. Young people who receive a Ticket2Play enjoy two free admissions to any City of Calgary recreation facility, as well as Vivo.

Media are invited to hear about the Ticket2Play program, it’s success so far and The City’s efforts to ensure more youth are rewarded for their positive behaviours in the community.

Village Square Leisure Centre (2623 56 Street N.E.)

  • The availability will take place on the pool deck in front of the rental shop. A City staff member will be near the front desk to guide media to the correct location, saving you from having to go through changerooms with camera equipment.
