Media Advisory: Calgary’s food trucks get ready for festival season – photo and interview opportunity

Media are invited to stop by The City of Calgary’s food truck inspection blitz on May 7 for a photo opportunity and to learn about food truck inspections and how The City is making the process faster and easier for food truck owners.

When: May 7, 2019 from 10:30-11:30 a.m.

Where: Calgary Fire Training Centre (5727 23 Ave S.E.)

Who: The following food truck owner and representatives from Fire and Planning will available for interviews:

• Deputy Fire Chief Ken Uzeloc
• Safety Response Unit Coordinator Cliff de Jong
• Avatara Pizza Owner Chris Iturbe

Photo Op: Food trucks will be lined up and ready to undergo inspections for: plumbing and gas; electrical; fire; ventilation and cooling; and an Alberta Health Services inspection.
