Media Advisory: Calgary Stampeders Grey Cup Celebration Rally

The City of Calgary will host a celebration rally for 2018 Grey Cup Champions, Calgary Stampeders, on Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2018 from noon to 1 p.m. at Municipal Plaza.

• The Macleod Trail lay-bys in front of the Municipal Complex will be closed on Monday, Nov. 26. Media Parking for Council Budget Deliberations will be available on the North side of 9 Ave. between Macleod Trail and 1 Street S.E.

Media are invited to attend the rally. Please review important information below.

• A map of media designated parking and access areas is attached.
• Viewing and interview areas (in front of and beside the stage) are reserved for members of the media. Please show your media credentials to gain access to these areas.
• Macleod Trail northbound between 9 and 6 Ave, and 8 Ave. between Macleod Trail and 1 Street S.E. will be closed to traffic from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. to accommodate the event. There will be absolutely no media vehicle access or parking in these areas (with the exception of uplink vehicles).
• Broadcast (uplink) trucks will be permitted to arrive and park on the west side of Macleod Trail northbound between 9:00 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. Please set up and run on internal generator power. For public safety reasons, absolutely no uplink vehicles will be permitted to enter the area after 9:30 a.m.
• A pool feed (video) will be provided in the uplink area, and a media feed (audio) will be provided at the front of the stage in the designated area.
• Media parking (for non-broadcast and personal transport vehicles) will be located on the south side of 9 Ave. at Macleod Trail. Please show your media credentials to gain access. Parking is first come first serve. When this area is full, media will need to find public parking.
