Media Advisory – Mayor Nenshi to showcase Neighbour Day celebration ideas

Media are invited to join Mayor Naheed Nenshi to learn about the details of Calgary’s fourth annual Neighbour Day, set to take place on Saturday, June 17, 2017. As part of the announcement, Mayor Nenshi will showcase examples of ways to celebrate Neighbour Day alongside Calgarians and students from Ernest Morrow School.

The deadline to submit permit applications for Neighbour Day is Friday, May 26, 2017. For a fourth consecutive year, The City is waiving its fees for approved block party and greenspace permit bookings on Neighbour Day. Additional information can be found at Calgary.ca/NeighbourDay.
