Media Advisory: Calgary youth present environmental innovations to Mayor Nenshi

Mayor Naheed Nenshi will tour the 28^th annual Mayor’s Environment Expo on June 7, as Calgary students showcase their projects that promote environmental sustainability at home, school and in the community.

What: Mayor Nenshi will be available to answer questions about the Mayor’s Environment Expo and The City’s work in empowering youth to practice and promote environmental actions in Calgary.

When: Wednesday, June 7 at 11:30 a.m.

Where: Municipal Building, north side of Council Chambers, 800 Macleod Tr. S.E.

The Mayor’s Environment Expo educates and empowers over 3,800 students on simple actions they can take to protect the environment. More than 45 exhibits and 60 workshops offer hands-on learning about energy reduction, recycling, composting, and water conservation.
