Media Advisory – Calgary Hosts 30th Annual Police Board Conference
CALGARY – The Calgary Police Commission is hosting the 30th annual Canadian Association of Police Governance conference August 8 to 11.
This conference welcomes more than 170 police board members from across Canada to discuss their role in building strong, safe communities and accountable police services. Experts will present on topics including gender equity, inclusion, change management, First Nations police governance, and police officer wellness.

The Canadian Association of Police Governance is made up of volunteer police commission members from across Canada. They provide civilian governance and oversight of municipal and First Nations police services including hiring and evaluating chiefs of police, setting strategic direction, and approving police budgets.
