Media Advisory: Action Plan Check-in

On February 1, 2016, The City of Calgary will be holding an event to launch the Action Plan Check-in with citizens.

Action Plan is The City’s business plan and budget document. It was developed in 2014 for the years 2015-2018. In recognition that the business plan and budget needs to adapt with Calgary's changing needs, the purpose of the ‘Check-in’ is to touch base with citizens and learn if their priorities for 2017 and 2018 have changed.

What: Action Plan Check-in with Citizens – to encourage Calgarians to tell us what matters most to them.

Who: Media is invited to attend the kick-off event, where Mayor Naheed Nenshi will highlight the importance of the check-in with citizens, how easy it is for citizens to get engaged and where they can go to find out more.

When: February 1^, starting at 11:30 a.m. The Mayor will speak at 12:15 p.m.

Where: The City’s engage bus will be located on 2 Street and 8 Ave SW in front of the Alberta Treasury Branch (ATB), to promote the Action Plan Check-in with citizens.
