Marijuana Trafficking Investigation

The Calgary Police Service has arrested a man for drug trafficking at a rally held this evening.

At approximately 8:30PM, police attended a rally taking place at a hotel in the 3800 block of McLeod Trail S. in which a man was distributing marijuana seeds. The man was arrested and taken into custody without incident. Charges are pending, however, his name cannot be released until he has seen a Justice of the Peace.

Under the Canadian Controlled Drugs and Substances Act, it is illegal to distribute marijuana in any form regardless of whether payment is provided.
