Man wanted on warrant for morning stabbing

UPDATE: We have now located and arrested Mr. SEMAK.

We are asking for the public’s help to locate a man wanted on warrant in connection with an early morning stabbing in MacKenzie Towne.

Around 4 a.m., on Friday, Sept. 3, 2021, officers were called to the 100 block of McKenzie Towne Lane S.E., for reports of a stabbing. Officers arrived to find an injured man in his 30s laying in the road.

It is believed that an altercation occurred at a nearby residence between the victim and another man he knew, and the victim was stabbed. No suspects were found at the scene and the victim was transported to hospital in serious but stable condition.

Mark Jonathan SEMAK, 35, of Calgary, is wanted in connection with this incident. He is charged with one count of aggravated assault and two counts of failing to comply with a court order.
