Man wanted on warrant for alleged sexually-motivated break and enters

A Calgary man is being sought on warrants after allegedly breaking into two homes and confronting female residents in what are believed to be sexually-motivated occurrences.

At approximately 6:30 a.m., today, Sunday, Sept. 8, 2019, a female resident in a home in the 0 to 100 block of Fonda Drive S.E., woke to a man standing over her in bed. The man fled when the woman woke.

A few hours later, at approximately 12:30 p.m., a woman at home in the 1800 block of 42 Street S.E., stepped out of her shower and discovered a man in her home. The man fled when the woman confronted him.

An investigation ensued that identified the man as Paul BARRETT, 20. BARRETT is now wanted on warrant for break and enter with intent and police are seeking assistance from the public to locate him. Anyone who may have information about his whereabouts is asked to contact the police non-emergency line 403-266-1234.

BARRETT is described as black, 6’ tall, approximately 145 pounds, with a slim build. A photo of BARRETT is available on The City of Calgary Newsroom.
