Man sought in stabbing of woman

Over the past two weeks, investigators have followed numerous leads in hopes of identifying a man who is believed to have stabbed a woman multiple times. We are now turning to the public for assistance with identifying and locating the suspect.

On Thursday, Sept. 22, 2022, an altercation between a man and a woman occurred in an alley behind the 600 block of 5 Avenue S.W. The man stabbed the woman multiple times. She ran to a Good Samaritan for help and emergency services were called. The woman was taken to hospital in critical condition.

The victim and the suspect were known to each other, however, the victim does not know the suspect’s identity. He is described as approximately 5’10” tall, with a medium build and dark hair. At the time of the attack he was wearing a green parka with a fur-lined hood, blue jeans and brown shoes. CCTV photos of the suspect are attached for reference.
