Man charged with voyeurism and breaching conditions

A man has been charged after it’s believed he intentionally filmed women without their consent in a Calgary department store.

At approximately 1:18 p.m., on Thursday, Feb. 5, 2026, a man entered the Marshall’s department store located at 33 Heritage Meadows Way S.E. It is believed the man took out his phone, concealed it with an object and recorded videos and images of six women. Loss Prevention Officers witnessed the incidents and made eye contact with the man several times before he left the store. The Loss Prevention Officers followed him into the parking lot, noting his vehicle and licence plate before reporting the incident to police.

At approximately 11:32 a.m., on Saturday, Feb. 21, 2026, the man was stopped during a traffic stop on Yankee Valley Boulevard near Highway 2 in Airdrie, Alta. He was taken into custody for breaching court‑imposed conditions.

As a result, Benjamin Ryan TURCOTTE, 25, of Airdrie, is charged with six counts of voyeurism and two counts of breaching conditions.

TURCOTTE is scheduled to appear in court on Friday, March 20, 2026.
