Man charged with voyeurism after incident in Varsity store

We have charged a man with voyeurism after a woman reported that she was recorded with a cell phone while in the fitting room of a northwest retail store.

At approximately 1:15 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 4, 2023, a woman was shopping at Plato’s Closet, located at 4625 Varsity Drive N.W. It is believed that after the woman entered a fitting room, a man walked up to the fitting room with a cell phone sitting on top of his right shoe and placed his right foot underneath the door. The woman immediately noticed the cell phone, at which point the man removed the phone from his shoe and exited the store. The woman and store staff called police to report the incident.

As part of this ongoing investigation, we have charged Logan Donovan MOORE, 32, of Calgary, with one count of voyeurism. He is scheduled to appear in court on Friday, Sept. 22, 2023.

Police are looking to speak with other people who were shopping in the store around the same time on the same day, who may have observed suspicious behaviour.
