Man charged with sexual assault and child pornography-related offences
We have charged a man who is believed to have engaged in an inappropriate relationship with an underage girl which continued for approximately two months.
In November 2024, our officers were made aware of allegations of an inappropriate relationship that was believed to be ongoing between a man in his 40s and a 14-year-old girl.
As officers began investigating, it was discovered the man had befriended the victim in September 2024, after she began visiting his home, where a friend of hers was residing.
The relationship continued to progress, and the man is believed to have spent time with the victim alone, at which time she was believed to have been sexually assaulted.
On Tuesday, May 13, 2025, several search warrants were executed in relation to the man’s residence, located in the northwest community of Rosemont. At the time, multiple electronic devices belonging to the man were seized.
As a result, Bradley Scott CARRIER, 48, of Calgary, was charged with one count each of sexual assault and sexual interference with a child under the age of 16.
In the months following the initial charges against CARRIER, police discovered further evidence as a result of the search warrant, which supported additional charges in relation to the original victim and an additional victim.
As a result, CARRIER was also charged with two counts of possession of child pornography, two counts of accessing child pornography, one count of making child pornography and one count of child exploitation.
CARRIER was released on conditions and will next appear in court on Friday, Sept. 19, 2025.
Both victims are receiving support from Luna Child and Youth Advocacy Centre.
