Man charged in downtown stabbing

One man has been charged following an investigation into an assault with a weapon that occurred in downtown Calgary.

At approximately 2:50 p.m. on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, officers responded to reports of a stabbing that occurred at Seventh Avenue and Fourth Street S.E.

A man in his 20s was transported to hospital in serious condition and has since been upgraded to stable condition.

The suspect fled the area and was later identified and arrested without further incident.

The suspect and victim are known to each other.

Tyree Jordan ALEXANDER, 26, of Calgary, has been charged with one count of aggravated assault and one count of possession of a dangerous weapon.

He will next appear in court on Friday, June 12, 2026.
