Man charged in attempted robbery

The Calgary Police Service has charged one man following an attempted robbery.

At approximately 3:15 p.m., on Sunday, July 26, 2015, a man entered the Cash Money located in the 4600 block of Macleod Trail S.W. Once inside, he gave a robbery note to the teller. The teller went to the back of the shop and the man left the scene prior to the teller returning.

Following a short investigation, detectives of the CPS Robbery Unit have charged Timothy Christian MACKNESS, 23, of Calgary, one count each of robbery and wearing a disguise to commit an indictable offence.

MACKNESS will next appear in court on Thursday, August 13, 2015.
