Man charged after more than $24,000 in drugs seized
We have charged a man with drug-trafficking offences after seizing more than $24,000 in illicit drugs last week.
On Tuesday, March 24, 2026, at about 9 p.m., officers conducting proactive patrols in the Chinook area observed a vehicle parked in an otherwise empty lot. Two men were seen meeting briefly after one exited the vehicle, before walking away together. Believing the interaction to be consistent with a drug transaction, the officers conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle and arrested the driver.
During a search of the vehicle, the officers located and seized:
- 218.9 grams of crystal methamphetamine, valued at approximately $4,370
- 150.6 grams of fentanyl, valued at approximately $15,060
- 32.5 grams of crack cocaine, valued at approximately $3,210
- 65.1 grams of oxycodone, valued at approximately $1,620
- Three scales
- Drug paraphernalia
Landon William HENDERSON, 39, has been charged with:
- One count of possession of methamphetamines for the purpose of trafficking
- Two counts of possession of opioids for the purpose of trafficking
- One count of cocaine crack for the purpose of trafficking
HENDERSON is scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday, April 15, 2026.
“This investigation is a great example of proactive policing, where officers’ presence and attention led directly to an arrest and a significant amount of illicit drugs being removed from our community,” says CPS District 1 Insp. Jason Bobrowich.
