Landlord charged in multiple voyeurism incidents

District 2 members have charged a man who is believed to have installed hidden cameras in the bathrooms and bedrooms of rental properties without the tenant’s knowledge.

On Monday, June 8, 2026, one of the tenants noticed a small hidden camera placed on a surge protector device located in the bathroom, as well as a hidden camera found on a smoke detector in their bedroom. The tenant notified other tenants who found similar hidden cameras in their respective bedrooms and then notified police.

Later that same week, on Friday, June 12, 2026, investigators executed a search warrant in the 200 block of Springborough Way S.W., and seized multiple electronic storage devices. It is believed the landlord installed similar devices at another rental property located in the 3800 block of Brentwood Road N.W.

On Friday, July 10, 2026, the landlord was arrested.

As a result, Sooryong PARK, 41, who is also believed to use the alias Nick PARK, has been charged with one count of break and enter and five counts of voyeurism.

He is scheduled to appear in court on Friday, Aug. 7, 2026.

It is believed that PARK may operate as a landlord in other jurisdictions including Vancouver and Toronto, targeting women of the Korean community.

Police continue to investigate and are asking anyone who may have information about this or similar incidents to contact police by calling 403-266-1234. Tips can also be submitted anonymously to Crime Stoppers through any of the following methods:
