Joint Services commercial vehicle safety checkstops

The Calgary Police Service Truck Unit will be conducting commercial vehicle checkstops in various areas of the city this week.

Officers from several municipal, provincial and county agencies including Alberta Commercial Vehicle enforcement, will also be taking part.

All types and sizes of commercial vehicles will be checked for mechanical fitness, driver qualification, hours of service compliance, load securement and transportation of dangerous goods compliance.
