Join law enforcement officers for breakfast this weekend

Law Enforcement Torch Run LogoThis weekend, law enforcement and Cora restaurants throughout Alberta will join forces to host Cops and Crepes, a fundraising event in support of Special Olympics Alberta.

On March 12 and 13, 2016, each Cora restaurant in Alberta will have uniformed officers partnered with Special Olympic athletes to bus tables and refill coffees. Guests at Cora restaurants will be able to purchase Special Olympics merchandise, make donations and get to know the officers and athletes that volunteer their time.

This provincial fundraising event is a unique partnership that provides an opportunity for law enforcement to raise awareness and financial support so that Special Olympics athletes can continue to train in year-round sports activities. Cops and Crepes has become a signature event for the Alberta Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics, which hosts numerous events to support the cause each year.

Throughout the rest of March, all Cora locations in Alberta will be collecting donations for Special Olympics. With each donation, Cora customers will have the opportunity to enter to win a gift basket donated by Cora’s and the Alberta Law Enforcement Torch Run.

Alberta Law Enforcement Torch Run and Cora restaurants are inviting the public and the media to join them for breakfast this weekend. More details can be found at www.albertatorchrun.ca.
