Investigation ongoing after body located in Forest Heights

We are investigating after a woman’s body was located earlier this morning in a park located in southeast Calgary.

At approximately 5:30 a.m., today, Tuesday, July 4, 2023, we were called for reports that a woman’s body had been located by a couple walking in Fonda Park, located in the community Forest Heights.

An autopsy has been scheduled for tomorrow, Wednesday, July 5, 2023. At this time, the woman’s cause of death remains undetermined.

Investigators are in the process of speaking with witnesses and collecting CCTV from the area.
