Information sought in sculpture vandalism and theft incident

We are seeking information from the public in relation to the vandalism and partial theft of a religious sculpture at St. Mary’s University.

At approximately 3 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 3, 2025, it is believed the suspect entered the St. Mary’s University campus, located at 14500 Bannister Rd. S.E., driving a silver 2008-2013 Nissan Rogue bearing a stolen Alberta licence plate: CGT 4176.

The suspect exited the vehicle and used a saw to remove a corner portion of the bronze sculpture, causing significant damage to the artwork, which is valued at approximately $30,000. The suspect then loaded the stolen piece into the vehicle and fled the scene.

After exhausting all investigative avenues, we are turning to the public to ask for information that will help identify the suspect and locate the stolen property.
