Information sought in McKenzie Towne arson investigation

Arson investigators are seeking witnesses and CCTV as part of an investigation into what is believed to be an intentional fire set in a business in McKenzie Towne Centre.

Between 2 a.m. and 3 a.m., on Friday, Jan. 31, 2025, three people were observed to be prowling businesses along High Street S.E., in McKenzie Towne Centre. It is believed the three people broke into a food truck at the rear of a business and set fire to the interior of the truck. Once the fire was set, the three suspects fled the area on foot. Damage to the food truck is estimated at $20,000.

The first man is described as having a slim build and light skin tone. He was last seen wearing a black jacket with a white zipper and black pants, white running shoes and a red or orange and grey backpack.

The second man is described as having a slim build and light skin tone. He was last seen wearing a black Nike hoodie, black pants and white runners.

The third suspect, a woman, was last seen wearing a black three-quarter-length jacket with light blue jeans, and black boots.

Investigators are asking anyone who lives or operates a business in the area to preserve any CCTV footage they may have from midnight to 4 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 31, 2025, and contact police.
