Identity of deceased man still sought

In July 2022, we sought assistance from the public in identifying a man who was found deceased in the river in hopes of generating information that would lead us to his next of kin. Since then, all possible leads have been exhausted and we are releasing a new composite sketch based on the man’s autopsy in hopes of furthering his identification.

The man’s body was located on Sunday, June 12, 2022, on the east side of the Bow River, approximately 100 metres south of the Calf Robe Bridge. The death was deemed not suspicious by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner and all traditional methods of identifying the deceased have failed to yield any information about his identity

The man is believed to have been between 30 and 50 years old at the time of his death, 6’4” tall, approximately 245 pounds, with a light skin tone. He was bald and/or had a shaved head. It is believed he was experiencing homelessness at the time of his death.

Anyone with information about the man’s identity is asked to call the police non-emergency number at 403-266-1234. Tips can also be submitted anonymously to Crime Stoppers through any of the following methods:
