Homicide investigation continues - MOORE

The Calgary Police Service continues to investigate a homicide that took place on Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2019.

At approximately 12:10 a.m., police were called to the alleyway behind the 100 block of 15 Street N.W., for reports of an injured man suffering from a gunshot wound.

It is believed an altercation took place sometime between 11 and 11:30 p.m., on Monday, Jan. 21, 2019, when shots were fired.

An autopsy confirmed the identity of the victim as Jordan MOORE, 34, of Calgary.

Search warrants on three residences have been completed including in the 1000 block of 10 Street S.W., the 1100 block of 12 Avenue S.W. and Sierra Morena Mews S.W.

Search and Rescue have been assisting CPS officers in a search of a wooded area in Westhills where we believe evidence related to this homicide may have been concealed.

Two men were taken into custody at approximately 7 p.m. on Tuesday, from the Westhills area.

They have since been released without charge, however they continue to be suspects in this investigation.
