Goodbye Winter – Hello Spring & Summer Program Guide

The City of Calgary’s Spring & Summer Program guide is hot off the presses and now online and on stands – offering thousands of programs for individuals and families to break free from their winter routine. Registration begins on Monday, Feb. 29.

“There are classes that appeal to just about every interest,” says Jarret Hoebers of Calgary Recreation. “New this spring we are offering Bassburn. This class has a live DJ spinning the latest dance and house tracks - for those who prefer to dance their way fit! ”

Feature classes include Aqua Zumba; Pastels for the Enthusiastic; Babysitting Training certification and Putting and Chipping for adults. Additionally, parents will be keen to know that The City’s summer day camp offerings are also listed - so people will need to plan early to reserve their spot.

“In this edition, there are also tips on staying active and motivational info for our #GetMovingYYC campaign,” adds Hoebers. “Bottom line is that we want more Calgarians, more active and creative, more often. And spring is the perfect time to reinvigorate your routine.”

The City helps foster healthy lifestyles and encourages everyone to get moving through a range of accessible and affordable recreational programs and opportunities. Start planning today by checking out the program guide online and getting ready for registration on Monday, Feb. 29.
