Four wanted on warrants for random assault downtown
Four people have been charged and are wanted on warrants following an investigation into a random assault that occurred downtown on Thanksgiving.
The victim attended the Harry Hays Building in an attempt to renew his passport before realizing they were closed for the holiday. As he headed home, around 8:40 a.m., on Monday, Oct. 10, 2022, he walked along Dermot Baldwin Way S.E., when he was approached by five men who subsequently began assaulting him while attempting to steal his backpack.
The victim sustained several injuries and was transported to hospital in stable condition.
As a result of the investigation, four men were identified and charged by way of warrant in relation to this assault. A fifth suspect is currently in custody on unrelated charges and charges in relation to the robbery are expected to be laid.
Calvin CALF, 43, is wanted on warrant for robbery. He is described as approximately 5’8” tall, and 140 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair.
John MALCOLM, 46, is wanted on warrant for robbery. He is described as approximately 5’6” tall and 150 pounds, with blue eyes and brown hair.
Raymond LADOUCEUR, 40, is wanted on warrant for robbery. He is described as 6’ tall and 140 pounds, with hazel eyes and brown hair.
Martin BELANGER, 26, is wanted on warrant for robbery. He is described as approximately 6’1” tall, and 160 pounds, with blue eyes and blonde hair.

“Random violence has no place in our city. We will not tolerate this kind of behaviour. Everyone has the right to access city services and walkways free from fear of violent behaviour by those who seek to harm others for their own personal gain,” says District 1 Inspector Clare Smart.
