Four people arrested following crash with stolen vehicle

The Calgary Police Service is currently investigating a collision involving a stolen vehicle for a second time this week.

At approximately 11 a.m., police were alerted to a stolen Nissan Murano being driven in an erratic manner. The vehicle travelled through several areas of Calgary while being monitored from a distance by HAWCS helicopter.

This vehicle was involved in at least four hit-and-run, non-injury collisions as it drove throughout Calgary.

At approximately 1 p.m., the vehicle went thought a red light and collided with another vehicle at Shaganappi Trail and Bowness Road N.W. The woman driving the other vehicle sustained minor injuries.

All four passengers of the Nissan – two men and two women – attempted to flee from the area, but were arrested by officers with the assistance of HAWCS overhead.

The CPS would like to thank citizens who were able to assist with identifying the driver of the offending vehicle. Charges are pending in this case.
