Forest Lawn Suspicious Death Investigation

The Calgary Police Service Homicide Unit is currently investigating a suspicious death that occurred on Sunday in the community of Forest Lawn.

At approximately 3:30 p.m., on Sunday, May 29, 2016, police were called to the 200 block of Forest Road S.E. for reports of an altercation. A man in his 30s was transported to hospital in life-threatening condition where he later died.

Investigators do not believe this to be a random incident and are currently working to determine what may have occurred within the home. One man is currently in custody for questioning.

An autopsy is currently ongoing. More information is expected to be released pending the outcome of the autopsy.
