FILES FOR MEDIA USE: Seniors invited to take part in more than 85 events during Seniors’ Week
Calgary is celebrating Seniors' Week June 3rd to 9th, acknowledging the many contributions seniors make to our communities. Across Calgary, there are more than 85 events including social gatherings, drop-in fitness classes, cultural celebrations and presentations about managing finances and dementia awareness.
Participating Seniors’ Week partners include Calgary Recreation, the Glenbow Museum, Studio Bell National Music Centre, Fort Calgary and the Kerby Centre.
Seniors’ Week featured event:
Tuesday June 5th at 1 p.m. – 2:30 p.m.
1922 14 Ave. N.W. (outdoor space located behind the Louise Riley Library)
Participate in an exercise class led by a certified instructor on the outdoor fitness equipment or sit down to a game of chess or other board games. The Louise Riley Public Library and crew members from Calgary Fire Station #10 are also taking part.
Admission is free.
