Files for media use: 2500 volunteers chip in for 51st annual Pathway and River Cleanup

Today, Sunday May 6, from 9 a.m. to noon, over 2,500 registered volunteers will work collectively to clean up garbage from Calgary’s green spaces, parks, pathways and river banks. The annual Pathway and River Cleanup provides an opportunity for all Calgarians to contribute to the environmental sustainability of Calgary’s natural habitat. It also serves as a great reminder of the importance of making sure waste makes it to the appropriate organic, recycling or trash bin year around.
