Fatal stabbing in Panorama Hills

Our Homicide Unit is investigating a fatal stabbing that occurred this morning in the northwest community of Panorama Hills.

At approximately 10:45 a.m., today, Wednesday, Dec. 16, 2020, we were called to a residence located in the 200 block of Panatella Court N.W., for reports of a man suffering from stab wounds. EMS attended the scene and located the male deceased.

Officers searched the area, however the suspect fled the scene prior to police arrival. At this time, it is believed the victim and suspect were known to each other and the assault was targeted. Detectives continue to speak with witnesses and are investigating this incident as a homicide.

An autopsy will be conducted tomorrow, Thursday, Dec. 17, 2020, by The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.

“It is still extremely early in the investigation,” says Staff Sergeant Martin Schiavetta of the CPS Homicide Unit. “Our detectives are working very quickly to locate a potential suspect and we are asking anyone who has information to come forward.”
