Fatal Pedestrian Collision in Somerset

The Calgary Police Service Traffic Section has been called to investigate a pedestrian collision that occurred earlier this morning.

At approximately 8 a.m., today, Monday, Oct. 15, 2018, police were called to the Somerset-Bridlewood LRT station for reports that a child had been struck by a CTrain. The child was taken to hospital in life-threatening condition where they succumbed to their injuries.

No further information will be released as the investigation is still ongoing, and officers are still working to notify all family members.
