Fatal motorcycle collision in the northeast

We are investigating a two-vehicle collision that occurred last night in the city’s northeast which resulted in the death of a motorcyclist.

The collision occurred at the overpass intersection of Country Hills Blvd. and Stoney Trail N.E., around 8:15 p.m., on Friday, Sept. 16, 2022. A Dodge Caravan that was stopped at the intersection proceeded to turn westbound onto Country Hills Blvd. N.E., from the off ramp of northbound Stoney Trail N.E., and collided with a motorcycle that was travelling eastbound in the westbound traffic lane of Country Hills Blvd. The collision took place in the westbound lane.  

The rider of the motorcycle suffered fatal injures and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

At this time, speed is being investigated as a factor in this collision.
