Fatal collision in northeast Calgary

The Calgary Police Service is investigating a fatal single-vehicle collision that occurred today on Stoney Trail.

At approximately 11:50 a.m., today, Monday, Oct. 15, 2018, police were called to a single-vehicle collision that occurred on northbound Stoney Trail, near McKnight Boulevard N.E. The sole occupant of the vehicle was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The CPS Traffic Section is currently on scene investigating.

A section of Stoney Trail northbound has been closed and traffic is being diverted onto McKnight Boulevard. Drivers are able to continue onto northbound Stoney Trail from the McKnight Boulevard exit, however they should expect significant delays.
