Fatal collision - Bow Bottom Trail

The Calgary Police Service is investigating a fatal collision that take place early this morning.

At approximately 1:30 a.m., today, Sunday, Nov. 3, 2019, a 32-year-old man was driving a white 2010 Mazda A3i southbound on Bow Bottom Trail. The vehicle rotated on the roadway, onto the west shoulder, eventually striking a light pole.

The driver was ejected from the vehicle and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

It is not known at this time if alcohol and drugs were a factor in the collision. Investigators are also trying to determine if speed was a factor.
