Falconridge shooting incident

The Calgary Police Service is investigating a shooting that occurred last night.

Around 7:30 p.m., on Wednesday, April 12, 2017, emergency crews were called to the 100 block of Falton Close N.E., for reports of a man suffering from a gunshot wound to the lower leg.

It’s believed three people were inside the home when an argument broke out between two men. The pair traded punches before one of the men allegedly pulled out a gun and shot the other in the calf. The victim ran from the home to a nearby address where a neighbour called police. He was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The investigation remains ongoing and the shooting is not believed to have been random.
