Election Day unofficial voter turnout - 11 a.m.

As of 11 a.m., voting stations have reported voter turnout of approximately 16,000. The final turnout for the 2021 Advance Vote was 141,329, the highest Advance Vote turnout to date. There were 847,556 enumerated electors as of July 2021 per Elections Alberta Permanent Register of Electors.

Voting stations are open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Voters must vote at their designated voting station on Election Day. Voters are reminded to bring ID with their current name and address with them and can search their residential (home) address to find their designated voting station on electionscalgary.ca.

 

Voters may experience lines ups of up to 10-15 minutes due to COVID physical distancing measures. If there is a lineup and you are standing in line at 8 p.m. you will still be allowed to cast your ballot.

11:30 a.m. Out of 188 voting stations, the following wait times are being recorded:

1-5 minutes: 123 stations

5-10 minutes: 21 stations

10-15 minutes: 8 stations

15-20 minutes: 5 stations

20-30 minutes: 4 stations

30+ minutes: 3 stations 

Election Results

Starting at 8 p.m. on Election Night, unofficial election results will be available on calgaryelectionsresults.ca. Election results will become official on Friday, Oct. 22 at noon.
