Driver charged following serious-injury collision

A driver has been charged following a hit-and-run collision with two innocent drivers last week that resulted in the serious injury of one driver.

Around 9 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 24, 2025, police were called to the 3200 block of Blackfoot Trail S.E., for reports of a three-vehicle collision, including a rollover. One driver was transported to hospital in serious but stable condition. Witnesses reported that the offending driver, operating a black Dodge Ram, struck the two vehicles at a high rate of speed, before fleeing the scene by driving the truck up an embankment and through a chain-link fence into a restricted city property near Highfield Road S.E.

Officers tracked the tire tracks from the collision and located the heavily damaged truck and its occupants, including the driver and passenger. Both were placed under arrest.

Officers observed open alcohol and signs of impairment by drugs. The investigation also revealed the driver to be allegedly responsible for a number of parked cars that had been hit on Saturday, Nov. 22, 2025.

Impaired driving charges have not yet been laid pending the results of toxicology. The driver, Jarreth Tyler FISHER, 22, was charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing bodily harm, failing to stop at the scene of an accident and failing to stop at the scene of an accident causing bodily harm. He will next appear in court on Friday, Jan. 30, 2026.

The passenger was released without charge.

·       Call a taxi, rideshare provider or driver’s alternative service

·       Stay the night
