Downtown suspicious death deemed a homicide; police seeking witnesses

Earlier today, we shared information about a suspicious death that occurred yesterday evening on the west end of downtown. This death is now being investigated as a homicide, following an autopsy that was completed by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.

The victim has been identified as Russell David YOUNKER, 49, of Calgary.

Detectives are now hoping to speak with two people who may have information that would be valuable to the investigation.
