Distraction theft suspects apprehended

Three of six distraction theft suspects have been apprehended following a tip from the public.

Last week the Calgary Police Service released photos of six individuals wanted for distraction thefts.

Elvis STOIAN has been apprehended and is currently in custody in Winnipeg, MB. Petrache DADACI and Persida CORCIU have also been apprehended and are currently in custody in Toronto, ON.

The Calgary Police Service would like to thank the public, media and partnering police agencies for their support in apprehending these suspects who face multiple charges related to distraction thefts in Calgary.

The following three suspects are still outstanding and are also facing multiple charges in relation to distraction thefts. Photos of the suspects can be found on The City of Calgary Newsroom.

  • Verginica MUNTEANU, 32, is facing 31 charges
  • Cornelia GOLOGAN, 43, is facing 20 charges
  • Costica MARIN, 31, is facing 7 charges
