Dashcam footage sought in pedestrian collision
Investigators with the Calgary Police Service Traffic Section are asking anyone who may have dashcam footage of a pedestrian collision this morning to contact police.
At approximately 6:40 a.m., on Tuesday, Jan. 25, 2022, a serious-injury collision occurred between a truck and a pedestrian in the intersection of 64 Avenue and Castleridge Boulevard N.E. A black pickup was in the left turn lane of Castleridge Boulevard, turning onto Westbound 64 Avenue, where it struck a pedestrian crossing 64 Avenue from the northwest pedestrian landing to the south side of 64 Avenue.
The driver remained at the scene and the pedestrian was transported to hospital in serious but stable condition.
Excessive speed and impairment are not considered factors in this collision.
The Calgary Police Service Traffic Section continues to investigate the circumstances of the collision and are asking anyone who may have witnessed the collision, or who may have dashcam footage to contact police at the non-emergency number 403-266-1234.
