Crime Stoppers Re-enactment: Southeast Home Invasion

In hopes of gaining new information, Crime Stoppers will be re-enacting a violent home invasion that occurred earlier this year leaving two elderly citizens injured.

At approximately 12:05 a.m., on Wednesday, April 13, 2016, an elderly couple were asleep in their home located in the 1500 block of 49 Street S.E., when a man forced entry through the back door.

Once inside the residence the suspect entered the master bedroom and demanded money from the couple. He then assaulted both victims with a crowbar before leaving the residence. A man in his 70s and a woman in her 60s were transported to hospital where they were treated for serious head injuries.

It was dark in the residence, but the suspect was described as 25 to 35 years old and had a heavy build. He was wearing a hood and ski mask.
