CPS Statement: Naturist swim event

The Calgary Police Service can confirm that on Monday, Jan. 8, 2018, police received a report of a threat to the Southland Leisure Centre in relation to the naturist swim event. District officers responded at the time of the incident and determined there was no immediate danger. No further details are available as the incident remains under investigation.

We can also confirm that the CPS was consulted by The City of Calgary Corporate Security in relation to event security concerns. The final risk assessment was provided by The City of Calgary Corporate Security and the final decision was made by Calgary Recreation.
